Spring is just around the corner...especially in AZ with the temps creeping in the 70's lately! Pastels and florals are always common staples for Spring/Summer, but I decided to look back at the Spring 2013 runways from NYFW '12. Check out the top trends that hit the runways:
You can't go wrong with black + white! The Spring 2013 runways were covered in black and white (Alexander Wang did his entire collection in black.) For me, it is often daunting to mix prints. But I have found it to be much easier with black and white, which are neutrals in my mind. Hopefully one day I will go for the big leap and mix florals and stripes...
I am loving this twist on the sleek suit. Bright colors of course rocked the runways as well, but I loved that Victoria Beckham had different variations of the colored suit. Shorts, pants, skirt, you name it! A colored pant suit could be dressed up for work with pumps, or dressed down for brunch with these Rebecca Minkoff sandals (in love!)
And then of course, there's leather. Remember when I was guest posting at Dear Serendipity about my 2013 style resolutions? (see here) I have actually kept up with them and incorporated leather quite frequently! The leather that hit the Spring runways was not heavy leather by any means, but it was incorporated in skirts, dresses, and most importantly: shoes. One of my favorite combos with leather is lace, highly recommend you try it because you would be surprised! I recently wore this leather skirt from Free People with this lace shirt and I must say it was quite adorable!

Ooh! I would definitely love to add a colored suit to my work wardrobe!
