{No Scrubs}-DIY style

As I was recovering from my surgery, I was trying to get creative with some DIY projects to keep me busy. Of course Pinterest has been my friend all week, and gave me thousands of ideas. These body scrubs stuck out though. They are perfect for a friend, myself, or a great hostess gift!

Honey Scrub
The best scrub may be no farther than your pantry. Honey is one of nature's best humectants, drawing water into the skin, while sugar buffs away dead cells so gently that it dissolves as it works. A touch of citrus offers an invigorating scent too!
1 teaspoon pure honey
1/4 cup light olive oil
1 cup raw or granulated sugar
2 teaspoon fresh citrus zest
Add honey to olive oil, and blend with sugar. Mix in fresh citrus zest (I used lemon). Blend until well mixed, then store in a jar!

Lavender Sugar Scrub
This is my personal favorite, just because lavender is one of my absolute favorite scents. However, with this simple base you can add any of your favorite scents to it (sweet orange, vanilla, peppermint, cinnamon, rose, etc.)
1/2 cup of organic raw sugar or 1/2 cup of organic cane sugar {tip: cane sugar is softer than the raw}
1/3 cup of organic sea salt
1 cup of coconut oil {best when it has a liquid consistency}
30 drops of essential oil {I used lavender}

Add ingredients in order listed above, topping it off with coconut oil {add more coconut oil if you like it less dry}. Then, add essential oil and stir with a butter knife.

Lemon Sugar Scrub

This scrub is perfect for summer, I love the citrus smell right when I get out of the shower too, it is so refreshing! All of these ingredients can be found right in your pantry too, which couldn't make it any easier!

1/2 cup of organic sugar
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tabelspoons of lemon juice

Add ingredients in order listed above, mixing in small bowl & store in a jar!
